FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas softball team will have six competition dates as part of its fall schedule, as announced Tuesday by head coach Mike Larabee. Five of the Razorbacks’ six fall games will be played at Bogle Park with all games free and open to the public.
Arkansas begins fall competition Oct. 1 against Butler CC with first pitch scheduled for 3 p.m. (CT) at Bogle Park. Following an Oct. 5 doubleheader at Oklahoma State, the Razorbacks return to Fayetteville for the rest of their fall schedule which features Evangel (Oct. 8), Crowder (Oct. 15) and a doubleheader against Oklahoma (Nov. 1). On Oct. 25, the team will host a meet & greet to go along with an inter-squad game.
The Razorbacks are set to return 16 student-athletes from last year’s roster including soon-to-be-seniors Kasey Fagan and Devon Wallace, both of which were named to the 2013 NFCA All-South Region Second Team. Larabee recently announced the addition of Randi Davis as an assistant coach who will work with the team’s pitching staff.
As announced last month, the Razorbacks will hold 2014-15 walk-on tryouts Aug. 26, starting at 4 p.m. at Bogle Park. Those interested must be enrolled at the University of Arkansas, have proof of a physical administered within the last year, a copy of a current insurance card and a participation release form from Arkansas athletic trainer Dawn Didier.
