Larabee releases fall schedule

FAYETTEVILLE– Arkansas’ head softball coach Mike Larabee announced the fall portion of the softball schedule that includes nine home games. The fall season opens with the alumni game on Sept. 18, at Bogle Park. Arkansas then faces Texarkana College as well as Crowder College on Sept. 22 and 29, respectively. The first double header of the season is against Tulsa on Oct. 2, beginning at 1 p.m. Before meeting Oklahoma State in the second double header on the fall schedule on Oct. 9, the Razorbacks welcome Seminole State on Oct. 6.The fall season wraps up against Northeast Oklahoma A&M at Bogle Park on Oct. 15, at 5 p.m.Arkansas finished the season with an overall record of 28-29 after falling in the first round of the SEC Tournament against Alabama. Back-to-back wins against No. 9 Georgia marked the first time Arkansas has accomplished that feat since 2001. Two Razorbacks were named second team all-conference while Courtney Breault became the fourth Razorback to garner All-Freshman honors in program history. Breault was named SEC Freshman of the Week, May 3, after leading Arkansas to a series victory over Ole Miss.Larabee and staff welcome eight newcomers to the roster this season including recent transfer from Weber State, Linnea Ketcher.
