FAYETTEVILLE – University of Arkansas senior golfer Stacy Lewis was selected to the Golf World Mid-Season All-American Team it was announced today.
Lewis, a senior from The Woodlands, Texas, is one of the most decorated Lady Razorbacks in school history. The defending NCAA Champion is a three-time all-Southeastern Conference and all-America selection. She now adds the Golf World honor to her trophy case.
“Stacy had a tremendous fall,” said Arkansas head coach Shauna Estes. “She was two shots away from winning all four of our fall tournaments. Her game is the best I have ever seen it and this recognition mid-year is great motivation for her for this upcoming spring season. Stacy’s goal is to work hard over the break and be ready for an exciting finale to her collegiate career.”
Arkansas had four fall events with Lewis winning the final two. Lewis earned medalist honors at both the Stanford Intercollegiate and the UA Ann Rhodes Intercollegiate. In four events, Lewis opened with three consecutive first-round 69s and topped that with a first-round 68 in the final fall tournament.
She played the fall a total of four-under and finished with a 70.92 stroke average.
