FAYETTEVILLE — University of Arkansas junior Stacy Lewis easily advanced while Lady Razorback teammates Alexandrea Schulte and Lucy Nunn battled to the wire Wednesday at the 92nd Women’s Southern Amateur Championship in Birmingham, Ala. Lewis, The Woodlands, Texas, native, won her second-round match play challenge defeating Alexis Rather of Tupelo, Miss., 7 and 6. Lewis fired a three-under at Riverchase Country Club winning her match after just 12 holes. Lewis moves on in the championship flight facing Vanderbilt’s Jacqui Concolino in the first of two matches Thursday as the field pairs down to the final two players who meet on Friday. Schulte, a freshman from Broken Arrow, Okla., played Nunn, a junior from Lawton, Okla., to the wire winning one up on the final hole. Schulte remains alive in the consolation bracket.
