Jump to results PALO ALTO, Calif. — University of Arkansas junior fired a school record 207 en route to medalist honors at the Peg Barnard Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif., Sunday. Lewis carded a 69 in the final round for a 71-67-69 to tie with Arizona’s Alison Walshe for medalist honors. The 26th-ranked Lady Razorbacks finished 10th as a team. "I’m very proud of Stacy," said Arkansas head coach Kelley Hester. "She’s got so much good golf in her and it’s great to see her on top of the leader board." "I’m very excited to get the win," said Lewis. "I played well all week. I’ve actually played this course two summers ago and it’s one of my favorite places to play. The course was in great shape and fun to play." Sophomore Lucy Nunn turned in her best round of the event with a one-over 72 to tie for 43rd overall with a 225 (77-76-72). Junior Ashley Medders also had one of her best tournaments of the fall finishing tied for 40th with a 224 (78-73-73). Freshman Alex Schulte finished tied for 51st with a 230 (79-75-76) while freshman Corinna Rees tied for 66th overall with a 240 (70-76-84). "We played well today but so did the rest of the field so we couldn’t move up," said Hester. "We were so close to a really great finish but our stroke average is moving in the right direction and I’m pleased with our week-to-week improvement." The Lady Razorbacks finished just nine strokes out of the top five on the par 71, 5,985 yard golf course. Number seven Vanderbilt won the event with an 855 (288-292-275). Fifth-ranked Arizona (277-292-271) edged top-ranked Georgia (284-286-292) for second, 850-852. Host and ninth-ranked Stanford was fourth with an 263 (286-276-299), followed by no. 37 San Jose State rounding out the top five with 877 (297-300-280). Number 84 Oregon snuck in at sixth place with an 878, ahead of No. 2 Duke with an 882. Twenty-eighth-ranked New Mexico and No. 4 UCLA tied for eighth with 884 just ahead of Arkansas’ 886 in the 15-team field.
