Mallett to make announcement

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett is scheduled to hold a press conference Friday at 1:30 p.m. CT. The press conference will be streamed live on ArkansasRazorbacks.com for fans that are interested. Mallett is also scheduled to make national appearances on ESPN and ESPN Radio. Mallett will be a guest on College Football Live, which airs from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. CT on ESPN and again from 4 p.m. -5 p.m. CT and 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2. He will also be a guest on the The Pulse with Doug Gottlieb Friday, which will air on ESPN Radio from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. CT.

The Razorbacks finished with an 8-5 record in 2009, in which Mallett helped his team by setting or matching 16 different school records. He finished the year completing 225-of-403 passes for 3,624 yards and 30 touchdowns with just seven interceptions. Mallett was an All-SEC second-team selection by the league coaches and media and he was named one of 10 finalists for the Manning Award. He led the SEC in total offense (276.5) and helped Arkansas lead the SEC in scoring offense (42.2) and passing offense (433.7).
