University of Arkansas head men’s basketball coach Mike Anderson met with the media on Monday to preview the Razorbacks’ Tuesday night game against the Savannah State Tigers.
The Razorbacks have won five straight games enterin the post-holiday game and the contest is the last before the Razorbacks open SEC play on Saturday.
Anderson talked about Savannah State’s last few games and how the Tigers are transitioning from an independent into the MEAC. He mentioned how the Tigers have been battle tested this year with several difficult games on the schedule and how they want to slow down the pace of the game and take care of the basketball. He then answered questions from the media about if he was worried about the Razorbacks overlooking Savannah State, if he plans to change his approach with SEC play looming, Hunter Mickelson’s play of late and Arkansas’ improved rebounding.
The Razorbacks and Tigers meet at 7 p.m. central on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
