Meet on CST; rankings out

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas’ gymnastics meet at Florida on Friday was televised for a tape-delay broadcast, which airs Tuesday from 6-7 p.m. on Cox Sports Television.

In Arkansas, the broadcast should be available on CST in Cox Communications and Suddenlink markets.

Arkansas, ranked No. 7 last week, fell to the No. 8 Gators, 196.575-195.925, in Gainesville.

Senior Casey Jo Magee won the individual beam title and sophomore Jaime Pisani tied for the individual win on floor. Magee, Pisani and senior Sarah Nagashima were second, third and fifth, respectfully, in the all-around standings.

After earning a No. 8 preseason ranking and moving up to No. 7 following the season-opening victory over No. 20 Arizona, the Razorbacks hold steady this week and maintain their No. 7 national rankings.

In the individual events, the Razorbacks are No. 20 on vault, No. 4 on bars, No. 5 on beam and No. 6 on floor.

In the South Central Regional rankings, Arkansas is No. 2 overall. The Razorbacks are No. 5 on vault, No. 2 on bars, No. 2 on beam and No. 2 on floor.

Individually, senior Amy DeFilippo is seventh in the nation on bars and Pisani is tied for 19th. On floor, Pisani is tied for ninth and Magee tied for 18th. In the all around, Pisani is fifth and Magee No. 14.
