Men’s Golf Tied for Eighth After First Day of

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Beau Galyean was three under par during the first day of the Southern Methodist Stonebridge Invitational to lead the Arkansas Razorbacks to a tie for eighth place.
Galyean fired rounds of 70 and 71 to finish with a score of 141 and end the day tied for seventh in the individual race.
As a team, the Razorbacks are tied with Sam Houston State with a 15 over par score of 591. The Hogs trail overall team leader SMU which shot a 13 under score of 563. Arkansas was fifth overall after the first round with a score of 293, but dropped to eighth after firing a second round 298.
Chad Faucett finished the day tied for 23rd with a three over par score of 147 (71, 76), while Drew Higginbothom is tied for 56th after shooting an eight over 152 (77, 75).
Andrew Dahl was nine over on the day with a final score of 153 (77, 76) to finish in a tie for 64th, while teammate Adam Wing ended the day tied for 71st after shooting an 11 over 155 (75, 80).
Adrien Mork of McNeese State leads the individual competition after finishing the day eight under par (135).
The SMU Stonebridge Invitational will conclude tomorrow in Dallas with tee time scheduled for 8 a.m. CT.
