Men's golf adds Crawford

FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas men’s golf team signed Kolton Crawford of Fort Worth, Texas, to a National Letter of Intent during the fall signing period Razorback head coach Brad McMakin announced on Thursday.

Crawford will join the Razorbacks following a fantastic career at Mansfield High School where led the Tigers to three district and two regional championships in his three years with the program. Mansfield also finished third and fourth the past two seasons at the state championship.

Individually, Crawford is a two-time district champion and has several tournament championships under his belt including the Lockwood Classic and Pebble Creek Classic his junior year. On the amateur circuit, Crawford also has several wins, has played at numerous American Junior Golf Association Tournaments and the U.S. Junior Amateur.

"I’m really happy to get one of the top players in Texas to come to Arkansas," McMakin said. "Kolton is one of the best in his class and is rated as the No. 2 player in Texas. He is probably the best high school player in Texas and brings a winning attitude to our program. He is a super hard worker both on and off the course with his grades and his game. He is going to be a great addition to our team."
