FAYETTEVILLE – University of Arkansas head men’s tennis coach Robert Cox released their fall schedule on Monday for the 2011-12 season. In a packed schedule featuring nine tournaments that will have at least one Razorback participating, the Hogs will get plenty of individual play in before the 2012 spring season.
The slate begins on September 16 when the team will split and play in both the Purdue Invitational and Midland Invitational before returning home to, once again, host the RazorRacket Invitational. All matches for the RazorRacket Invitational will be played at the Billingsley Tennis Center on the University of Arkansas campus.
The Rice Quad is next on the schedule from Sep. 30-Oct. 2, followed by the ITA All-American Oct. 1-9, which will feature the top players in the nation.
After the Oklahoma 1 plus 1, the team will compete in the biggest tournament of the fall, the ITA Regional. This years central regional tournament will take place in Tulsa, Okla. If a Hogs singles player or doubles team wins the regional, they will advance to the ITA National Indoors Tournament in Charlottesville, Va.
The UNLV Invitational and Central Florida Invitational wrap up the fall from Oct. 28-30 and Nov. 4-6 respectively.
There is no scheduled time start for any tournament yet, but all tournaments are scheduled to last all day. For all information concerning the fall performance of the Razorback men’s tennis team, log on to ArkansasRazorbacks.com.
