Midweek Game Brings Oklahoma St. to Bogle Park

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas softball team continues its two-week home stand Wednesday evening with a game against Oklahoma State. First pitch of the midweek matchup is scheduled for 5 p.m. (CT) at Bogle Park. It will be the first of two meetings between the programs this season; the teams play again April 26 in Stillwater. General admission is $5 for adults while UA students (with valid ID) and fans 17 years and younger receive free admission.

Wednesday’s game will be streamed live on the SEC Network+ and through the WatchESPN app with Jackson Braswell and Megan Turk handling the play-by-play and color commentary duties, respectively. For all games this season, live stats will be available at ArkansasRazorbacks.com. For those in attendance, hot dogs are $1 as part of fan promotions against the Cowgirls.

Arkansas (7-7) and Oklahoma State (5-10) are set for the 12th meeting in the all-time series with the Razorbacks holding a 6-5 advantage overall. It will be just the fourth game played between the two teams in Fayetteville, and the first ever inside Bogle Park. The teams last met during the 2011 season, a 1-0 win in extra innings for then-No. 19 Oklahoma State.

In their last outing, the Razorbacks opened their home schedule with wins over Drake and UMKC during the two-day, four-game Razorback Invitational. The team registered a season-high 13 runs and 14 hits in Saturday’s win over Drake, while it tallied home runs from Lauren Archuleta, Ashley Diaz and Nicole Schroeder to close out the weekend with a victory over UMKC.

On the heels of a standout weekend performance in which she hit .900 with two home runs and eight RBI, Diaz paces the Razorbacks’ offense with her .475 batting average and 19 RBI. She and Schroeder are tied for the team lead with five home runs each. Senior Stephanie Canfield is first on the team and tied for the fifth in the SEC with 21 hits. She enters the game tied for eighth in program history with 188 career hits.

In the circle, senior Claire Clark carries a 4-0 mark in seven appearances and recorded her first career complete game with her last outing against UMKC. Grace Moll leads the staff with 48.0 innings pitched, 10 appearances and 35 strikeouts.

Following Wednesday’s game, Arkansas returns to Bogle Park to host the Wooo Pig Classic beginning Friday with games against Buffalo and Northern Iowa. The tournament field also includes Wright State.
