FAYETTEVILLE — Mike’d Up, the weekly radio show dedicated to University of Arkansas basketball, continues tonight at 7 p.m. at Sassy’s Red House in Fayetteville.
The one-hour program, which begins its second season at Sassy’s, gives fans an opportunity to interact with Razorback coaches and players while also getting an opportunity to learn more about the personalities that they witness on the court. Hosted by Chuck Barrett, the program features interviews with head coach Mike Anderson and Arkansas student-athletes and coaches. Fans in attendance will also have an opportunity to ask the head Razorback their own questions.
With the Razorbacks holding an 16-9 record and coming off a double figure victory over LSU at Saturday’s Final Four reunion, tonight’s show will feature head coach Mike Anderson and assistant coach Matt Zimmerman as well as senior co-captain Kikko Haydar. Coach Zimmerman is an 18-year coaching veteren who has spent the last 11 years on coach Anderson’s staff, joining him at UAB. Haydar, a two-year captain for the Razorbacks and a Fayetteville native, has made his first four collegiate starts during the 2013-14 season and is averaging 3.6 ppg with 16 steals.
Fans can also send in a question to coach Anderson via Twitter by mentioning @RazorbackMBB and using the hashtag #MikedUp.
Mike’d Up can be heard across the Razorback Sports Network from IMG College across the state. The 12-show schedule will continue Feb. 24 and March 3.
