Miles Named to SEC Community Service Team

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Senior forward Keaton Miles has been named to the Southeastern Conference Community Service Team the league office announced Friday afternoon.

In a continuing effort to recognize the accomplishments of student-athletes off the court, this marks the 18th year for the SEC Community Service Team for men’s basketball. Moses Kingsley was the recipient of the honor in 2015.

As a team leader in the community, Miles has been heavily involved in coordinating community service projects for the team. He has participated in the following activities: Boys & Girls Club back pack giveaway, University recreation wheelchair basketball exhibition, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, MLK Youth Clinic, Arkansas career development workshop, Yvonne Richardson Center Christmas ham giveaway, Samaritan’s Feet, Ruby Children’s Hospital, Special Olympics, Red Ribbon Rally, Sweat Hawgs and Book Hawgs program member with local elementary schools, Razorback Leadership Council.

The senior has started 23 games this season and scored a season-high 11 points against Northwestern State (Dec. 1) and pulled down a career-high nine rebounds against North Florida (Dec. 22). He led the Razorbacks with eight boards against Mississippi State (Feb. 9) and recorded a career-high four blocks against Missouri (Feb. 20).

Miles and the Razorbacks have won four straight games and close out the regular season on Saturday, hosting South Carolina at 4 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
