Missouri Southern game time changes to 2 p.m.

FAYETTEVILLE – The game time for the University of Arkansas’ women’s basketball team exhibition game against Missouri Southern has changed to 2 p.m. next Saturday, Nov. 4.

The tipoff time for Lady Razorbacks’ only exhibition game of the 2006-07 season was moved from the published 7 p.m. to accommodate fans who plan on watching the Razorback football game with South Carolina. The Arkansas-USC game was selected for a 6:45 p.m. start on ESPN.

“We knew this was a possibility when the schedule was made, and we planned to make the time change if football had a night TV game,” UA associate athletic director for communications Bill Smith said. “We want to make sure fans get a look at the new Lady Razorback team and see the football game.”

The first 500 fans arriving for the exhibition game at Bud Walton Arena will receive copies of the official 2006-07 Lady’Back basketball schedule, and the team will sign autographs after the game with Missouri Southern.

The Lady Razorbacks begin the 2006-07 regular season the next weekend with a road trip to Clemson on Friday, Nov. 10, with the home opener on Monday, Nov. 13 against Louisiana-Monroe.
