FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas continues its Southeastern Conference home-opening weekend on Sunday when the Razorbacks entertain Mississippi State at 1 p.m. at Razorback Field.
Arkansas is coming off Friday’s 2-1 overtime win over Ole Miss. The Razorbacks are 3-5-0 overall and tied for first in the SEC at 1-0-0.
MSU is 3-4-2 overall and 0-1-1 following Friday’s 5-1 loss at LSU.
Arkansas leads the all-time series with the Bulldogs 14-2 with an 8-0 edge in Fayetteville.
The Razorbacks have won eight straight, including last year’s 4-0 win in Starkville.
The MSU game has been designated Hispanic Heritage Day. The first 200 fans will receive an Arkansas soccer water bottle and a face sticker. Beginning at noon in Lot 56, a booth will open where children can have a photo taken with Big Red and other Razorback mascots until around 12:45 p.m. Public address announcements will be made throughout the game in both English and Spanish, and Spanish-themed music will be played during the afternoon.
In addition, the Hogwild Kick for Cash at halftime gives three contestants a chance to win $100 and advance for a chance to win $1,000. The Jason’s Deli Kids Zone will be available prior to the game and at halftime, and there will be an autograph session with the Razorbacks following each contest.
Arkansas’ homestand continues next week when the Razorbacks play host to Georgia on Friday and Tennessee on Sunday.
