AUSTIN, Texas – Freshman Kesha Naylor finished 10th overall in the three-meter springboard event at the NCAA Zone ‘D Diving Championships in Austin, Texas, so just miss an NCAA bid.
The freshman was 10th overall with a prelim score of 320.70. She earned a combined score of 614.25 after both the preliminary and finals rounds.
"Kesha Naylor did a great job today," diving coach Dale Schultz said. "She scored better than she did at the conference meet, but our best events are still ahead of us. I expect big things from the next two days and I think the one meter and platform will be our best events."
Junior Alex Roman finishes with a combined total of 265.05, while Liana Bugslag marked 263.05, good for 21st and 22nd, respectively.
Lacy Truelove of Houston, who the Razorbacks competed against during dual season, beat out the reigning national champion in the event to finish first with a mark of 730.55 overall.
The Razorbacks continue on Saturday with the 1m competition, followed by the platform on Sunday.
