FAYETTEVILLE – With her freshman season nearly in the books, Kesha Naylor was named to the Southeastern Conference all-freshman team, announced Friday by the conference office.
The Canada native made a name for herself after earning NCAA Zone Diving qualifying marks in each of her three events and breaking into the Arkansas record book in each of the diving events. Naylor topped the three-meter and platform record lists with her season-best performance against Division II national champion Duruy.
At the SEC Championships earlier this month, Naylor finished seventh on the platform with a mark of 247.30. She placed 10th on the one-meter springboard and was 13th overall on the three-meter board.
Naylor was recognized as SEC Diver of the Week in December after a stellar performance at BYU and Utah to close out the 2010 portion of the Razorbacks season.
The divers head to the NCAA Zone Diving Championships in Austin, Texas, March 11-13.
