Next Up For Arkansas: Oklahoma At Tulsa

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas will travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma this weekend in a spring matchup against the Oklahoma Sooners at Oral Roberts University. Kickoff at the Case Soccer Complex is set for Saturday, 4 p.m. CDT.

The most recent faceoff between the Razorbacks and the Sooners took place during the first round of the 2014 NCAA Tournament, a 3-2 overtime win for the Hogs in Norman, Oklahoma.

Arkansas defeated Illinois 1-0 during last week’s spring kickoff match in St. Louis. Senior forward Claire Kelley scored the game-winning goal assisted by sophomore midfielder/forward Reid Sibley.

“Last week was a good test in less than perfect conditions,” Arkansas head soccer coach Colby Hale said. “I’d say we passed a couple phases of the game and it also gave us something new to work on in others. The mentality of this group has been impressive. This week we’ll play a good Oklahoma team and we’ll work to get a few more answers to some preseason questions.”

Arkansas has four remaining games left on its spring schedule including Oklahoma. The Razorbacks will play Oral Roberts at home at Razorback Field on April 16 before facing off against Northwestern State in Little Rock on April 23. The team will close out the 2016 spring preseason with a match against Kansas on April 30 in Lawrence, Kansas.
