No. 15 Hogs Enter Sunday's Match Alone Atop SEC

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Off to an unprecedented start to the season, No. 15 Arkansas enters Sunday’s match at Mississippi State sitting alone atop the Southeastern Conference standings.

The Razorbacks (13-2, 4-0 SEC) and Bulldogs (9-4, 2-3 SEC) will square off at 1 p.m. at A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre. Live scoring and video of the match will be available here.

After its 4-0 win at No. 25 Ole Miss on Friday, Arkansas is off to its best start in program history and has won a program-tying best 10 straight matches – the longest active win streak in the SEC. Following the win, Arkansas and No. 10 Vanderbilt were the the only two teams still unbeaten in SEC play. However, No. 14 Kentucky (12-2, 4-1 SEC) handed the Commodores (9-4, 4-1 SEC) their first conference loss on Saturday night, by a score of 4-2.

Arkansas won its 10th consecutive doubles point and used three singles wins to top the Rebels and improve to 3-0 against opponents currently ranked in the top 25 nationally.

Sunday’s match will be the 26th meeting all-time between the two schools with Arkansas holding a 14-12 advantage in the series.
