No. 19 Hogs Win at Top Spots but Fall to No. 1

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The 19th-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks won singles’ matches at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots, but fell to No. 17 Ohio State, 5-2, Friday night in Columbus, Ohio. UA is now 2-2 for the season.

Junior Rohan Gajjar played his first match of the season in the No. 1 spot, and defeated No. 40 Devin Mullings, 6-4, 7-6. Gajjar is currently ranked 77th in the nation and is now 3-1 on the season. Razorback junior Adrians Zguns, ranked 56th nationally, beat No. 124 Chris Klingemann on the No. 2 court, 6-4, 3-6, 6-0, to improve to 3-1 on the season. Gajjar is 1-0 against ranked opponents, while Zguns is 1-1.

“Rohan played No. 1 and he played very, very well,” Razorback Coach Robert Cox said, “Adrians Zguns won in three sets, and I’m very proud of those guys.
