No. 25 Arkansas Falls to No. 27 Kentucky
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Arkansas men’s tennis team was defeated by the University of Kentucky, 4-3, Sunday in Lexington.

This was the last regular season match for both Arkansas (14-8, 3-7) and Kentucky (13-13, 5-6). The Hogs lost the doubles point, and the lineup was changed a bit. In the No. 1 position, Oskar Johansson and Henrik Tofft fell to the Cats’ Johan Gonditz and Reven Stephens 8-4. Playing at No. 2 was Magnus Kullenberg and Eduardo Pacheco, this duo was defeated by Edo Bawono and Karim Benmansour 8-5. The Razorbacks’ only victory in doubles came from Aleksey Bubis and Tiago Azevedo defeating Gustav Pousette and Matt Emery 8-5.

In singles play, Arkansas’ two seniors were both victorious in their regular season finale. No. 1 Johansson knocked off No. 47 Bawono 7-6, 6-1. At No. 2, Tofft claimed a victory over Benmansour, 6-2, 7-6. UA’s other win came at the No. 3 position from Oggie Kolev. Kolev beat Gunditz 7-6, 5-7, 6-0.

Arkansas’ next match will be in the Southeastern Conference tournament in Lexington, Ky., on Thursday.
