No. 4 Arkansas At The Powerade Classic

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas women’s golf team puts its No. 4 ranking to the test this weekend at the 14th Annual Powerade Cougar Classic in Charleston, S.C.

The Razorbacks are coming off a runner-up finish at the invitation-only ANNIKA Intercollegiate behind a medalist performance from sophomore Maria Fassi. Head coach Shauna Estes-Taylor takes the same lineup to the Yeamans Hall course this weekend.

Arkansas has won back-to-back Cougar Classics and are looking to become the first team to make it three in a row. One of the challenges to this year’s event for the Razorbacks is that just one of the team’s traveling five have seen the course.

Junior Alana Uriell is the veteran of the group playing to a tie for fifth place last season. She was also in the lineup as a freshman in the fall of 2014, finishing tied for 48th overall.

Arkansas’ Traveling Five:
Traveling to the second event of the season is Fassi, Uriell, Cara Gorlei, Kaylee Benton and Jordy LaBarbera.
