No. 6 Arkansas To Battle in Beantown

Battle In Beantown Notes

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Arkansas men’s cross country team will travel to Boston on Sept. 16 to compete at the Battle in Beantown.

The Razorbacks remain ranked No. 1 in the South Central region and No. 6 in the nation in the latest USTFCCCA polls.

On Sept. 1, the Razorbacks opened their season placing fourth as a team in a dual-meet bout which featured five regional foes at the Cowboy Duals in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Their strong team-finish mirrored their progression from last season, which saw the Hogs place no lower than fourth during all regular competition before going on to celebrate consecutive victories at the conference and regional meets.

This weekend, the Razorbacks will see performances from three 2015 first team All-SEC honorees including Austen Dalquist, Alex George and Frankline Tonui. Also competing are Kyle Levermore, Cameron Griffith and Kyle Hosting, all of whom finished in the top 20 at the Cowboy Duals.

Scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. CST, Arkansas will face Boston College, Brown, Dartmouth, Fordham, Hartford, High Point, Maine, New Hampshire, Northeastern, Rhode Island, UMass Amherst, UMass Lowell, Vermont and No. 20 Providence on Friday at Franklin Park.
