FAYETTEVILLE — After taking a week off from competition, the No. 10 Razorbacks Arkansas women’s cross country team will travel to San Diego, Calif., to compete in the 69th Annual Aztec Invitational on Saturday Sept. 21 at 11:30 a.m. The meet will feature host San Diego State and USC plus NCAA Division II teams Holy Names and Point Lioma. Also, Biola, which is ranked No. 5 in the latest NAIA national poll and Imperial Valley, Palomar and San Diego City from the junior college ranks. “We are really excited about the meet,” head coach Lance Harter said. “Our training has just been perfect and right on schedule. We are not easing up for any of these early season meets. We love to go out west whenever we can so I am excited to take our team there and give California a hard time.” The Razorbacks picked up a pair of perfect scores in the season opener against Missouri and Missouri Southern. Senior Stephanie Brown won her first collegiate cross country race to lead the Razorbacks and was also named the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Runner of the Week.
