FAYETTEVILLE — The No. 11 University of Arkansas gymnastics team will travel to top-ranked Florida to compete on Friday, Feb. 14. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and will be recorded for a tape-delay broadcast on Feb. 22 on Fox Sports Network (FSN). Senior All-American Katherine Grable comes into the meet as the No. 2 overall gymnast in the country and will be one of four gymnasts ranked in the top-10 to be featured in the meet. Florida, the reigning NCAA Champions, will feature No. 1 Bridget Sloan, No. 4 Kytra Hunter and No. 10 Alaina Johnson. Grable comes into the meet averaging a 39.535 in the all-around for the season and just five-thousandths of a point behind Sloan of Florida with a 39.540. “We are excited to make this trip to Florida,” co-head coach Mark Cook said. “They are ranked first in the country and it will be an exciting meet. It will be nice to thaw out after being so cold in Fayetteville and we will go down there looking to get a good road score.” The Razorbacks come into the meet with a season high of 196.275 which the team scored in the previous meet against LSU. While compared to Florida, which has the country’s highest score of the season thus far of a 198.050. Arkansas enters this weekend’s matchup with an average of 196.145 to Florida’s 197.365. In the event rankings, the Razorbacks are for No. 11 on the vault, 16th on bars, 7th on the beam and 16th on the floor. While LSU is in the top ten on each event with a No. 6 ranking on the vault, No. 2 on the bars, No. 1 on the beam and No. 3 on the floor. Individually, sophomore Sydnie Dillard is No. 12 on the beam.
