TEXAS DUAL MEET INFO No. 1 Arkansas will welcome No. 15 Texas to Randal Tyson Track Center on Friday for the Arkansas vs. Texas Dual. The field events are scheduled to start at 6 p.m., while running events are slated for a 7 p.m. start. Full schedule of events can be viewed at the link above.
TEXAS DUAL TRADITION The men’s track & field program started the Texas Dual tradition in 2010 as two of the top teams in the country went head-to-head in what has become one of the hottest rivals in college track & field. The Razorbacks are 4-0 at the Texas Dual over the past four years and look to extend their undefeated streak Friday night. MCLEOD EARNS SEC WEEKLY HONORS Following his collegiate debut at the Arkansas Invitational, Omar McLeod was named SEC Freshman of the Week. The true freshman won all three of his events beginning with the 60-meter hurdles in 7.82, followed by the 60-meter dash in 6.73, the 6th best time in school history. His 4×400-meter relay champion team finished in 3:09.08, defeating an all-star team comprised of former Olympians, national champions and All-Americans.
DISTANCE DUO Cross Country SEC Champion Kemoy Campbell and NCAA South Central Regional Champion Stanley Kebenei made their track and field debut at the Arkansas Invitational winning their respective events. Campbell won the 800-meter event title with a time of 1:52.01, while Kebenei finished the 1,000-meter in 2:26.47 for the win.
