FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The final regular season tune up for the No. 21 Arkansas men’s golf team will begin on Saturday with 36 holes at the Aggie Invitational hosted by Texas A&M at Traditions Club. Saturday’s opening round will begin at 7:30 a.m. with live scoring available through www.GolfStat.com or www.ArkansasRazorbacks.com, while in-round Twitter updates can be found by following @RazorbackMGolf. For the first time this year, Arkansas will use the lineup of senior Sebastian Cappelen, sophomore Taylor Moore, redshirt sophomore Kolton Crawford, sophomore Nicolas Echavarria and freshman Zach Coats. Cappelen, Moore and Crawford have started all 10 tournaments this year and all tied for 15th place in the team’s last outing at the Valspar Invitational. Moore was Arkansas’ top finisher at last year’s Aggie Invitational, shooting a three-round two-under 214 (73-71-70) to tie for eighth place. Moore has had a strong spring, finishing as the low-man in three of four events while producing a 71.3 stroke average with three top 15s. Going back to the fall, Moore has a counting score in 13 straight rounds. Coming in at No. 5 in Wednesday’s latest Palmer Cup ranking for Team Europe, Cappelen has been under-par in 14 of 27 rounds this season and 49 times for his career. Dating back to last season, Cappelen has a counting score in 30 straight rounds and is one birdie short of 400 for his career. Crawford is fresh off his second straight top 20 finish for the first time in his career, highlighted by a career-low six-under 65 in the final round of the Valspar Invitational last time out. Fueled by the 65 which is the lowest round by a Razorback this season and tied for the sixth-lowest in program history, Crawford has produced a 72.3 stroke average in 12 rounds this spring. The fourth Razorback that will make his fifth straight start of the spring, Echavarria adds a 74.5 stroke average to the No. 4 spot in the lineup while Coats will make his first career start. Though it will be Coats’ first career start, he played as an individual at the Gator Invitational with a 73-76-75/224 scorecard. Redshirt senior William Meason will play as an individual.
