ATHENS, Ga. — No. 6 Georgia outscored Arkansas on three of four events and posted a 196.725-195.875 Southeastern Conference gymnastics victory over the No. 3 Razorbacks in Athens on Friday.
Arkansas had the edge on vault, but Georgia scored a 49 or better on all four events and led on bars, beam and floor.
Individually, sophomore All-American Katherine Grable tied for the vault title at 9.90 while senior All-American Jaime Pisani won floor with a 9.925.
“It was a high-pressure meet and you have to perform under pressure,” co-head coach Mark Cook said. “This was good practice for us for the SEC meet and for the post-season.”
In the first rotation, Arkansas had three 9.75s and scored a 48.90 on bars. The Razorbacks, ranked No. 1 in the nation on the event, were led by Pisani, Shelby Salmon and Mariah Howdeshell, all with a 9.80. Jordan Salsberg, Stephani Canizaro and Grable each scored a 9.75.
Georgia, meanwhile, opened with a 49.275 on vault and was led by Kat Ding’s 9.90.

Georgia was led on bars by Kat Ding’s 9.95 and had a team total of 49.175. The Gym’Dogs led through two rotations, 98.45-98.20. In the third rotation, Arkansas had a 48.85 team total and had to count a mistake. Pisani led the way with a 9.925.
