Nott earns SEC accolades

FAYETTEVILLE- The Southeastern Conference announced on Thursday Arkansas’ Christopher Nott has earned All-SEC honors. This is Nott’s first All-SEC honor. He has been named to the All-SEC second team.
Nott, a native from Chorley, England, leads the Hogs at the top of the lineup and is ranked No. 65 in the nation in singles. He recorded a team high of 17 singles wins and 22 doubles victories this year. He advanced to the semi-finals in both singles and doubles with partner Dmitry Lebedev at the ITA Central Region Championship in Tulsa. En route to the semi-finals, Nott defeated Calin Paar of Nebraska in three sets before defeating another Husky, David Bendheim.
Nott’s momentum continued in the dual season with ranked wins over No. 21 Tim Puetz of Auburn, No. 81 Tucker Vorster of Ole Miss, No. 67 Diego Cubas of South Carolina, No. 73 Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan of Washington and No. 35 Jeff Dadamo of Texas A&M.
Against South Carolina, he clinched the match for the Hogs with a straight set victory over Cubas, 6-4, 7-6(4). At the ITA Kick-Off Weekend, Nott powered over Jonathon Wong to help the Hogs defeat Columbia, 4-1.
