Offensive Line Duo Joins On The Air With Bret Bielema

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – “On the Air with Bret Bielema,” Coach Bielema’s weekly radio show presented by Lindsey and West Rock Coffee Company, returns Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Catfish Hole. This week’s show will feature two of Arkansas’ starting interior offensive linemen in center Zach Rogers and versatile junior Johnny Gibson Jr., who has started at three different positions this season.

Rogers and Gibson were two of the starters on an Arkansas offensive line that paved the way for a season-high 260 yards rushing in last Saturday’s dramatic 38-37 win at Ole Miss.

Live from the Catfish Hole for the ninth straight year, Chuck Barrett, the voice of the Razorbacks, will host head coach Bret Bielema on the one-hour show while fans can make reservations to attend the shows by calling the Catfish Hole at 479-521-7008. Tickets are $25 and include all you can eat dinner buffet with catfish, shrimp and chicken.

Last Saturday marked the second start of Rogers’ career, as he took the place of All-American center Frank Ragnow who will miss the remainder of the season. The Carrollton, Texas, native made his first career start at No. 1 Alabama earlier this season. Rogers was the third-ranked center in the SEC last week by Pro Football Focus.

Gibson started the first four games at right tackle before going to right guard for a game and then to left tackle against No. 1 Alabama. Since the Alabama game, he has made two consecutive starts at right guard, a position he started at the final five games of 2016. A native of Dumas, Arkansas, Gibson joined the Razorbacks as a walk-on but was presented a scholarship prior to the team’s appearance in last year’s Belk Bowl.

The show will be carried throughout the state of Arkansas on the Razorback Sports Network and locally in Fayetteville on 99.5 FM, 92.1 FM and 93.3 FM.
