ARKANSAS vs. COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON
Nov. 15, 2007
Arkansas Coach John Pelphrey
“From a turnover standpoint, it was extremely disappointing. I have a lot of respect for the College of Charleston and Coach (Bobby) Cremins. From what we did see (in scouting), they are outstanding on offense. For us to guard them like we did, but turn it over like we did, our biggest challenge may be the six inches between our ears. We turned it over a few times and then we got cautious. I don’t think there will be another game all year where we turn it over that much and win.
“Sonny played phenomenal in the second half. He played as hard as he has all year. He dove on the floor a few times and guys found him. I thought Sonny was the best player on the floor in the second half with his effort.”
Arkansas Player Quotes:
“They got a lot of good looks, to a certain extent. They just missed. We wanted to pressure them.”
“We know we need to take care of the ball. You have to tip your hat to the College of Charleston. They shoot threes and have good guards. It was up to us to keep our composure after we turned the ball over a lot in the first half.”
