Post-Game Quotes

Arkansas vs. Southern Mississippi

November 30, 2005

Arkansas Head Coach Stan Heath

“I thought we played really well tonight. We played start to finish with a lot of hustle. We knew it was going to be hard to get inside against Southern Miss but I thought we did a pretty good job. We got after it defensively. It was a total team effort tonight.

“Dontell (Jefferson) racked up the assists tonight with eight more and zero turnovers. He is a good leader and does a good job directing traffic and getting the ball to the right people.

“Vincent (Hunter) had a lot of energy tonight and I was impressed with his 10 points. He had some good put-back shots. He gives a different dimension when he is on the court. All in all, everybody did a nice job tonight.”

Southern Mississippi Head Coach Larry Eustachy

“When you play against guys like Ronnie Brewer and Jonathon Modica it’s going to be a struggle. I like the pressure that (Craig) Craft gave us tonight.

“We battled physically tonight. We tied in rebounds. What I like about our team is our potential. Right now we’ve got young guys playing against older guys.

“This is a difficult schedule. We are a huge victim of our schedule.

“These guys don’t know, they don’t know what it takes. We are dealing with some great kids that are infants. They are in the infant stages right now.

“Our goal is to have a great December. We want to get in this league and beat some teams in this league.”
