Pratt, Bridges Earn All-Regional Honors

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas junior Haas Pratt and sophomore Scott Bridges were named to the NCAA Austin All-Regional team for their performance during the weekend tournament.
Pratt, named All-Regional first base, hit .429 (6-for-14) in three games at the Regional with three RBI, three runs and a .467 on-base percentage.
Bridges was named the All-Regional second baseman after hitting a team-best .556 (5-for-9) with a double, two RBI, four runs and a .692 on-base percentage.
“We are extremely happy for Haas and Scott,” Arkansas head coach Dave Van Horn said. “They each played key roles for us during the season and it certainly was not different this past weekend in Austin.”
The Razorbacks were eliminated from the NCAA Regional in Austin, Texas, after losing to Lamar 7-6 in 11 innings Saturday night. Arkansas lost to Lamar 3-2 in the opening round of the regional, then beat Bucknell 10-7 in the second round.
In the second game against Lamar, the Razorbacks trailed 6-3 in the top of the ninth before rallying to send the game into extra innings. The Cardinal plated a run in the bottom of the 11th with two outs to get the win and end the Razorbacks season.
Arkansas finished the 2003 season with a 35-22 overall record and a 14-16 mark in the Southeastern Conference.
