This is the 19th of 20 preseason features highlighting each student-athlete on the University of Arkansas volleyball team. Each day a different Razorback will draw and answer seven (out of a 15) get-to-know-you questions to give the fans a peek into their personality away from the volleyball court. The 2014 season begins Aug. 29 against Tennessee State at 7 p.m. (CT) at Barnhill Arena. Click HERE to purchase season tickets.
Day 19 (Wednesday, August 27, 2014):
Junior | OH | 5-10
Birmingham, Ala. (UAB)
Q: Other than volleyball, what sport would you like to compete in at the Olympics (summer or winter)?
Skinner: I would want to do speed skating in the Winter Olympics.
Q: What is the funniest/most embarrassing thing to happen to you on a volleyball court?
Skinner: We were playing on TV my sophomore year and I was running up to hit but somehow I tripped over my own foot. I was completely horizontal in the air for a good amount of time and just slammed down to the court. We lost the point.
Q: What was the last selfie you took?
Skinner: The last selfie I took was in my season-ticket holder’s hat. I was really feeling it that day and thought I looked good in it. That was a couple of days ago.
Q: What movie do you know every line of dialogue?
Skinner: Lion King, for sure, and Dirty Dancing.
Q: What is the one thing you have to do before each match?
Skinner: I have to write my great grandparents’ initials on a little piece of paper and stick them into my shoe.
Q: It’s match point. Do you want a huge kill or a monster block?
Q: If you could be on any reality TV show, what would it be?
Skinner: You have to understand I’m a reality TV junkie so this is an impossible question for me but I would love to be on Dance Moms. I feel like I could educate them a little bit.
