This is the second of 20 preseason features highlighting each student-athlete on the University of Arkansas volleyball team. Each day a different Razorback will draw and answer seven (out of a 15) get-to-know-you questions to give the fans a peek into their personality away from the volleyball court. The 2014 season begins Aug. 29 against Tennessee State at 7 p.m. (CT) at Barnhill Arena.
Day 2 (Sunday, August 10):
Freshman | S | 5-9
Decatur, Ind. (Bellmont HS)
Q: Would you rather go to a movie OR dinner by yourself?
B. Hankenson: Probably a movie. I’ve never done it though because I usually just end up watching movies at home.
Q: It’s match point. Do you want to win on a monster kill or a huge block?
B. Hankenson: Block, for sure. That’s way better.
Q: What’s the most interesting or funniest account you follow on Twitter?
B. Hankenson: Best Vines. I like to watch funny Vines. Or I’ll follow a Harry Potter account and read a lot about that.
Q: What movie do you know every line of dialogue?
B. Hankenson: That’s a tough one. I know Forrest Gump which is a classic, so good.
Q: What was your favorite sport team growing up?
B. Hankenson: We were big Chicago Bears fans because my parents are from Illinois.
Q: What’s the funniest/most embarrassing thing to ever happen to you on a volleyball court?
B. Hankenson: There are a lot of things but usually getting hit in the face or blocked in the face.
Q: Other than volleyball, what other sport would you like to compete in the Olympics (summer or winter)?
B. Hankenson: Well, beach volleyball wouldn’t count either so I would want to do bobsledding.
