This is the 11th of 20 preseason features highlighting each student-athlete on the University of Arkansas volleyball team. Each day a different Razorback will draw and answer seven (out of a 15) get-to-know-you questions to give the fans a peek into their personality away from the volleyball court. The 2014 season begins Aug. 29 against Tennessee State at 7 p.m. (CT) at Barnhill Arena. Click HERE to purchase season tickets.
Day 11 (Tuesday, August 19, 2014):
Sophomore | MB | 6-2
Peachtree City, Ga. (McIntosh HS)
Q: If you were stuck on a deserted island, what three things would you want with you?
Jones: A portable charger, my cell phone and a tent.
Q: If this team was a band, would you be a singer, background dancer or playing an instrument?
Jones: I’d probably be a background dancer so I can show off my awful moves to everyone.
Q: What’s the funniest/most embarrassing thing to ever happen to you on a volleyball court?
Jones: I fall a lot when I’m blocking and probably need to apologize to my pin blockers for stepping on their feet.
Q: It’s match point. Win on a monster kill or a huge block?
Jones: I would say a huge block. Last year, I probably would have said kill but I’ve gotten better at blocking so I’m ready to block somebody.
Q: What is your favorite memory from Europe this summer?
Jones: I have two. One of them was going to Maribor (Slovenia) and doing the ropes course. I thought that was so much fun. My second favorite was getting to meet Barbara’s family (in Croatia).
Q: What was the last selfie you took?
Jones: We took a few (Sunday) during Picture Day.
Q: If you could be on any reality TV show, what would it be?
Jones: I’d want to be on Dance Moms as one of the moms because they’re awesome and crazy.
