This is the 12th of 20 preseason features highlighting each student-athlete on the University of Arkansas volleyball team. Each day a different Razorback will draw and answer seven (out of a 15) get-to-know-you questions to give the fans a peek into their personality away from the volleyball court. The 2014 season begins Aug. 29 against Tennessee State at 7 p.m. (CT) at Barnhill Arena. Click HERE to purchase season tickets.
Day 12 (Wednesday, August 20, 2014):
Ana Sofia Jusino
Sophomore | MB | 6-2
Toa Baja, Puerto Rico (Timber Creek HS)
Q: What’s the funniest/most embarrassing thing to ever happen to you on a volleyball court?
Jusino: When I first started playing volleyball, we had hitting lines and I would run into the net every time. Hit the ball, hit the net every time.
Q: If you could be on any reality TV show, what would it be?
Jusino: The ones where you’re living somewhere like Alaska and trying to survive in extreme conditions. I think that would be really cool.
Q: Other than volleyball, what sport would you want to compete in at the Olympics (summer or winter)?
Jusino: I think handball would be cool. That’s probably really random but it looks fun.
Q: What was the last selfie you took?
Jusino: A duck-face selfie in my room that I just sent to a friend.
Q: Would you rather go to a movie OR dinner by yourself?
Jusino: Probably dinner by myself. I feel like going to a movie is more awkward to do alone.
Q: If you were stuck on a deserted island, what three things would you want with you?
Jusino: An endless supply of food, a hammock and a surfboard. I could teach myself how to surf.
Q: It’s match point. Win on a monster kill or a huge block?
Jusino: Huge block is cooler. You own the other player, too.
