ProHogs In Action For Week 3 Of NFL Preseason
With over half of preseason action in the books, week three presents one of the last opportunities for players to make their case for their respective 53-man roster.
Here are a few ProHogs to watch out for this week:
Spaight Back In Action
Sitting in the first preseason game due to a hamstring injury, linebacker Martrell Spaight saw his first action last week against the Green Bay Packers. The third-year pro recorded three tackles in his 20 defensive plays, including one tackle for loss. Not only is he likely to pick up more playing time as the end of the preseason nears, he is expected to make the 53-man roster.
Play with passion. #HTTR

Patriot ProHogs
After suffering a head injury in the preseason opener, the Patriots decided to sit Deatrich Wise in week two. He returned to the practice field this week, so it is expected head coach Bill Belichick will play Wise in week three since he has very little live game action this preseason. Trey Flowers sat last week as well, but for different reasons. The second-year end is healthy and Belichick wants to keep it that way, deciding not to risk injury to an already thin defensive line.
A Proven Charger
Through two weeks, tight end Hunter Henry has only recorded two receptions for 31 yards in two starts. That is a good thing. His situation is a lot like Flowers for the Patriots. Everyone knows what his brings to the table; there is no reason to risk injury. Another Charger to look for, however, is Darius Philon. He only recorded two tackles last week against New Orleans, but is getting a good amount of reps on the line. The opportunity is there.
Chargers takeaways- I’m all in on Hunter Henry. Seed/quicks/hands. Philon & Attaochu excellent rotational guys. Tyrell Williams looked great
