#ProHogs Report: Mallett Earns Second Career Victory

Several #ProHogs turned in impressive performances on the third Sunday of the NFL season, most notably, Houston Texans quarterback Ryan Mallett and Dallas Cowboys running back Darren McFadden.

Mallett gave the Texans a first-quarter lead over Tampa Bay with a 5-yard touchdown pass to DeAndre Hopkins. He finished the day 24-of-39 with 228 yards en route to earning his second career victory as an NFL starting quarterback.

Meanwhile in Dallas, McFadden found the end zone for his first rushing touchdown as a Cowboy.

New Orleans kicker Zach Hocker booted through a 31-yard field goal in the Saints’ 27-22 loss to Carolina.

Jacksonville defensive end Chris Smith made one tackle, including a half sack and one quarterback hurry in the Jaguars’ 51-17 loss to New England.

Vikings wide receiver Jarius Wright reeled in three passes for 28 yards in Minnesota’s 31-14 routing of San Diego. His second reception was a 17-yarder that set up a 5-yard touchdown run for Adrian Peterson. Darius Philon participated for the Chargers but did not record any statistics.

Jason Peters started at left tackle for Philadelphia in the Eagles’ 24-17 win over the New York Jets. For Seattle, Alvin Bailey participated on the offensive line but did not record any statistics in the Seahawks 26-0 shutout over Chicago. Travis Swanson started at center for Detroit in the Lions’ 24-12 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football.

Kansas City running back Knile Davis and Green Bay long snapper Brett Goode will close out Week 3 on Monday Night Football.

Chris Gragg (Buffalo) and Trey Flowers (New England) were not active.
