#ProHogs Report: Week 4

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Now finishing up the fourth week of the NFL season, former Razorback tight end Hunter Henry has gotten nearly all of his firsts out of the way. His first start came in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. His first reception in Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs, now he can add his first touchdown reception to that list.

Henry, who has benefited from an injured Antonio Gates, has made the most of the last three weeks since being thrust into the starting role at tight end for the San Diego Chargers. On Sunday against New Orleans, Henry hauled in his first career touchdown reception on a 20-yard strike from quarterback Phillip Rivers.

The touchdown catch was only a small portion of his four reception, 61-yard performance he did have, his second straight game of 60 yards or more receiving. So far this year, Henry has 10 receptions for 153 yards and is averaging over 15 yards per catch.

He’s one of 26 tight ends with 10 or more catches this year and is the only rookie tight end in the NFL with 10 catches, over 150 yards receiving and one touchdown.

Here are some highlights of how the other former Hogs did during Week 4:

Smith Make Season Debut
Defensive end Chris Smith, who is in his third season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, made his season debut against the Indianapolis Colts Sunday morning in London’s Wembley Stadium. Smith was part of 14 snaps on the defensive side of the ball and totaled two tackles and one sack in the 30-27 victory.

Smith’s appearance makes him the 14th former Razorback to play at least one snap in the NFL this year and his two tackles gives him 18 for his career.

Flowers Continues Strong Start
Defensive end Trey Flowers has been a key component for the New England Patriots off the bench this season. On Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, Flowers had another multi-tackle game and saw 42 snaps on defense, one of his highest totals this year.

Flowers has played in every game this season, but is still looking for that first start of the year. He has nine tackles in four games and seven tackles over the last two.

Wright and Thomas In Primetime Monday
Capping off Week 4 in the NFL, the Minnesota Vikings host the New York Giants on Monday Night Football at 7:30 p.m. CT on ESPN. Minnesota is a perfect 3-0 on the year, while the Giants are 2-1 and looking to keep it a three team race in the NFC East.

Wide receiver Jarius Wright made his season debut for the Vikings last week against the Carolina Panthers, but did not record any stats. Robert Thomas has yet to play for the Giants this year.
