There were several notable #ProHogs transactions this week as the number of former Razorbacks playing in the NFL continues to grow. Shortly before kickoff last weekend, the St. Louis Rams signed kicker Zach Hocker. Last week, Hocker did not attempt a field goal but did make his lone extra point attempt. He is expected to handle place kicking duties for the Rams again this week.
The Miami Dolphins signed defensive lineman Robert Thomas to their active roster and he is expected to make his NFL regular season debut on Sunday. Thomas had previously been on the New England Patriots’ practice squad and was also on the Seattle Seahawks’ practice squad earlier this year. He spent all of last season on the Washington Redskins’ practice squad during his rookie season.
Running back Darren McFadden will be featured on Monday Night Football this week as the Dallas Cowboys look to bounce back against the Washington Redskins.
On the injury front, the Patriots placed defensive lineman Trey Flowers on injured reserve, ending his season. Darius Philon returned to practice for the San Diego Chargers this week. He was placed on the Chargers’ injured reserve list but designated for return and will be able to return to the active roster next week.
