Philadelphia Eagles

#ProHogs Week 5 Schedule

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Only three undefeated teams remain as Week 5 of the NFL season begins Thursday. Of those three teams, two include a former Razorback. Jason Peters and the Philadelphia Eagles along with Jarius Wright and the Minnesota Vikings each look to keep their perfect seasons alive as well as the Denver Broncos.

Jason Peters, who is in his 13th NFL season, seventh with the Eagles, has been a cornerstone on the Philadelphia line that been one of the best offenses in the league. Through three games, Philadelphia, led by quarterback Carson Wentz, has put up more than 360 yards per game, 250 through the air with wins over Cleveland, Chicago and Pittsburgh.

Peters has played every offensive snap for the Eagles at left tackle this year and looks primed to continue leading Philadelphia as it comes off its bye week to play to face the Detroit Lions (1-3) at Ford Field. Four of its next five games are on the road.

#ProHogs To Watch In Week 5

Hunter Henry – TE San Diego Chargers
Looking to continue his strong production from the last two weeks, tight end Hunter Henry and the San Diego Chargers (1-3) travel to Oakland for an important matchup with the Oakland Raiders (3-1). Henry has started each of the last three weeks since the injury to Antonio Gates and caught his first touchdown pass of his pro career last week against New Orleans. Henry finished the game with four receptions for 61 yards and has 153 yards on 10 catches this season. The Chargers and Raiders kick off at 3:25 p.m. CT on CBS.

Trey Flowers – DE New England Patriots
Just like Hunter Henry, defensive end Trey Flowers has been nothing but consistent since the start of the regular season, something that has seemed to be a carry-over from the preseason. Flowers has racked up a career-high nine tackles, four solo stops, and one pass deflection. He is still waiting on that first career start with the New England Patriots (3-1), but the second-year pro has been strong off the bench. Two weeks ago against Houston, he had four tackles and against the Bills last week, he had three tackles and a season-high snaps on defense (43). Fans can watch Flowers and the Patriots take on offensive lineman Alvin Bailey and the Cleveland Browns (0-4) at Noon on Sunday on CBS.

Thomas and Goode Battle In Primetime
The New York Giants (2-2) and Green Bay Packers (2-1) have the primetime slot Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. The game will feature two former Hogs in tackle Robert Thomas of the Giants and long snapper Brett Goode of the Packers. Thomas who was part of the Carolina Panthers during the preseason, signed a free agent contract with the Giants prior to the regular season, but has yet to see game time.

Goode is in the middle of his ninth season in the league, all as the Packers’ primary long snapper. Goode has been the long snapper on every Green Bay kicking play this season and is part of a special teams unit that is 11th in the NFL with 25 points per game.
