FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Promotions for this weekend’s SEC home opener have been set with the University of Arkansas volleyball team returning to Barnhill Arena after a three-week road swing to host No. 9 Florida this Sunday, Oct. 4, at 3 p.m. (CT). The Razorbacks, who are receiving votes in this week’s AVCA national poll, are on a four-match winning streak with a 12-2 overall record and 2-0 mark in SEC play.

In their last outing, the Razorbacks posted a four-set road victory over Texas A&M in College Station. Pilar Victoria paced a trio of double-digit kill performers with a match-high 20 kills. Chanell Clark-Bibbs added 12 kills with a career-high nine blocks while Breana Jones put down a season-high 11 kills against the Aggies. With the win, Arkansas improved to 2-0 in conference play for the third-consecutive year.
Based on their individual performances, Victoria and Adrien Wohlschlaeger both earned SEC weekly honors. Victoria was named the SEC Player of the Week with the help of a career-high 30 kills in the conference opener at LSU. Wohlschlaeger earned her second SEC Setter of the Week honor after averaging 12.67 assists per set in which was highlighted by career highs of 65 assists and 14 digs against LSU.
Individual match tickets are $5 at the Barnhill Arena ticket window starting one hour prior to first serve of each match while UA students (with valid ID) and fans 17 years and younger receive free admission. Arkansas fans have already posted two top-10 home attendance figures this year including a season-best 1,342 fans at Barnhill Arena for the season opener against McNeese State.
