Razorbacks Add Team USA Member, Local Standout for 2016

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas volleyball head coach Robert Pulliza has announced the addition of two future Razorbacks in Rachel Rippee and Reagan Robinson as part of the November signing period. Rippee comes to the program with Team USA experience and Robinson is a recent state champion with Shiloh Christian High School. With his latest additions to the program, this marks the eighth Razorback recruiting class for Pulliza.

Rachel Rippee
6-0 | S | Springfield, Mo. (Kickapoo HS)

Rippee comes to Arkansas as a two-time Team USA selection, most recently as a member of the 2014 USA Girls’ Youth National Team. She helped Team USA qualify for the FIVB World Youth Championships with a second-place finish at the NORCECA qualifying event in Costa Rica. She had previous experience with the 2013 USA Girls’ Select Team that was second at the High Performance Championships in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Rippee was an all-state performer as a junior and earned two all-district and three all-conference accolades during her prep career at Kickapoo High School in Missouri.

Rachel is the daughter of Richard and Shelly Rippee with an older brother, Ryan. She plans on majoring in education at the University of Arkansas. Rippee played for the Ozark Juniors volleyball club. Along with her prowess on the court, she was a four-year academic all-conference selection.

Reagan Robinson
5-11 | OH | Springdale, Ark. (Shiloh Christian HS)

Robinson was a three-time all-state performer for Shiloh Christian High School in Springdale, Ark., and in her recently completed senior season, she earned state tournament MVP honors after leading Shiloh Christian to the 4A state title. As a senior, Robinson amassed 452 kills with a .369 hitting percentage, 393 digs and 77 service aces on her way to earning Wendy’s Player of the Year honors. In addition to three all-conference selections, she was also named the 2013 NWA Media Newcomer of the Year (5A and below) and the 2014 Northwest Arkansas Player of the Year.

Reagan is the daughter of Simon and Tiffany Robinson and has two siblings, Rylee and Kyle. Her father played for the Razorback tennis team from 1984-87 and her sister is a pole vaulter for the Razorback women’s track and field team. Robinson plays for the Ozark Juniors volleyball club.
