Rachel Kessler Develops Her Distance Swimming Skills
FAYETTEVILLE – University of Arkansas swimmer Rachel Kessler (New Rochelle, N.Y.) checked in with RazorVision to discuss the development of her distance swimming skills, the team’s progress and improvements she hopes to make in the spring semester.
With a 4-0 dual meet record, the Razorbacks remain undefeated this season and have set a new school record with 14 consecutive dual-meet wins, breaking the record of 13 set from 1991-92.
Arkansas ended fall competition by winning the Missouri Invitational held in Columbia, Mo., from Nov. 21-23. The team placed first out of 11 teams with a total of 809 points, 111 points more than second-place Utah and 112 points more than SEC opponent Missouri.
Kessler’s individual performances at the Missouri Invitational were highlighted by a 14th-place finish in the 400-yard individual medley, a 16th-place finish in the 200 butterfly and a 20th-place finish in the 1,650 freestyle.
The Razorbacks will return to competition on Jan. 11 when the team faces Alabama and Kentucky in a double-dual meet in Tuscaloosa, Ala., at 11 a.m.
