Rankings rise to #7 BCS, #8 in others

FAYETTEVILLE — After defeating LSU 31-23 in the 2010 regular season finale, the Arkansas Razorback football team jumped into the top 10 of all three polls as well as the Bowl Championship Series rankings.

The 10-2 Razorbacks are eighth in the polls of the Associated Press, USATODAY and Harris Poll, and combined with the other computer factors move to seventh in the BCS rankings. The BCS 7th is an all-time high for the program.

While Arkansas waits until Sunday of this week to know its bowl fate, Razorback fans can act now to request or reserve bowl tickets by following this link to the 2010 bowl ticket information page. The chance to reserve seats is still open for current season ticket holders, but the chance to request bowl tickets for the general public is now also available.

National kudos also came in during the final television shows of Saturday evening into Sunday morning as Razorback receiver Cobi Hamilton was honored by the ESPN GameDay Final studio crew with a helmet sticker. Mark May handed out his helmet sticker to Hamilton for his 164-yard, two-touchdown effort versus LSU.
