Razorback Baseball Network Announces Affiliate

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.-The University of Arkansas Men’s Athletics Department has announced the affiliate lineup and broadcast crew for the 2001 Razorback Baseball Radio Network. The 20-station network is one of the largest college baseball radio networks in the country and will have a familiar face joining its crew this season.
Former University of Arkansas Sports Information Director Rick Schaeffer will rejoin Chuck Barrett in the broadcast booth this season. Schaeffer previously worked on the Razorback Baseball Radio Network in 1995. Schaeffer will be the color analyst with Chuck Barrett and will fill the role of play-by-play announcer when Barrett is unavailable due to his commitments to Sports Rap, his statewide sports call in show. Barrett is entering his 10th season of calling Razorback baseball action.
“We are very excited to have such a top-notch broadcast crew and such a large number of affiliates,” said Matt Shanklin, assistant athletics director and general manager of the Razorback Baseball Radio Network. “I know I am biased, but Chuck and Rick will be one of the top broadcast crews in the country and we are very fortunate to have them in the Razorback baseball family.”
Fayetteville’s KFAY 1030 AM will once again carry all 56 regular season games and all postseason action. Network affiliates will carry a majority of the 30-game Southeastern Conference regular season schedule in addition to all postseason play. The Razorback Baseball Radio Network hopes to finalize plans for affiliates in Texarkana and Newport in the next week.

In addition to the statewide network, the Razorback broadcasts can be heard over the Internet. The broadcasts can be found on the world wide web at www.broadcast.com.
All broadcasts begin with the Dugout Show starting 20 minutes prior to every game.
