Razorback Cody Clark Earns All-Tournament Hono

FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. – Arkansas sophomore catcher Cody Clark was named to the 2002 Southeastern Conference Baseball All-Tournament team after posting an .818 batting average and helping the Razorbacks post a 1-2 record in the tournament.
A Fayetteville, Ark., native, Clark went 9-for-11 and set an Arkansas record for batting average in conference tournament play. Clark ended the tournament one hit shy of tying the Razorback record for hits in a conference tournament. Clark also posted a .909 slugging percentage and a .833 on-base percentage in three tournament games.
Clark finished the season with a .322 batting average with 10 doubles, two home runs and 25 runs batted in. Clark recorded four three-hit games in final six contests of the season and threw out 11-of-31 base stealers in helping the Razorbacks reach the SEC Tournament for the first time since 1999.
For his career, Clark has a .288 batting average with 16 doubles, three home runs and 47 RBI.
The Razorbacks finished the season with a 31-26 overall record and 13-14 mark in the SEC. Arkansas awaits a possible NCAA Regional bid which will be announced Monday, May 27, at 11:30 a.m. on ESPN2.
