FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Razorback fans heading to Omaha to cheer on Arkansas in the College World Series are invited to a pre-game reception on Saturday before the Hogs’ opening game against Cal-State Fullerton outside Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium.
The pre-game reception will be hosted by the athletic department in a tent located south of the main entrance outside Rosenblatt Stadium from 11 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Fans will be treated to complimentary hot dogs, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages while supplies last. All University of Arkansas fans are welcome and can gain admittance to the reception by wearing their favorite Razorback apparel. Fans attending the reception will also be eligible for door prizes including three autographed Arkansas team baseballs from the NCAA Tallahassee Super Regional.
"We want to say thank you to all the Razorback fans that have been so supportive all season long," Arkansas Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Jeff Long said. "I know we will have a lot of fans in Omaha and there is no better way to get things started than getting together for a pre-game tailgate. Coach Van Horn and his team have had an outstanding season and we want to cheer them on as they compete for a national championship."
Arkansas plays Cal-State Fullerton at 1 p.m. on Saturday in the first game of the 2009 College World Series.
